Therapy for Kids

For kids (7+), struggles with anxiety and stress, self-esteem, anger, sadness, friendships, and school can be overwhelming. Many child clients who come to work with me have received an ADHD or Autism diagnosis and need help with regulating big feelings. For example, they may retreat inward when distressed or lash out when their emotions go from 0 to 100. Parents, while supportive, often find themselves unsure of how best to help. In my practice, I specialize in client-centered, creative approaches, including Play and Art Therapy, offering a safe environment for children to learn coping strategies and explore their emotions in a child-friendly way.

Therapy for Parents & Families

I also provide parent training to equip caregivers with practical strategies for nurturing their child’s emotional well-being. Together, we can guide your child through their challenges and foster healthy coping mechanisms. I draw from multiple parenting frameworks, including Positive Discipline, and incorporate research from developmental psychology to provide you with a deeper understanding of the “why” behind your kids’ behavior and how to strengthen your relationship.

Therapy for Teens & Young Adult Women

Many young women feel a desire to seek therapy but may struggle with knowing how to begin helping themselves. My teenage and young adult clients tend to identify as “high-achieving” and often struggle with anxiety, stress management, perfectionism, and boundaries. I focus on supporting these women as they navigate significant life transitions, whether applying for or entering college, embarking on a new internship or career, or facing major changes in friendships or relationships. Together, we’ll collaborate on your goals so you leave each session feeling heard, capable, and equipped.

Hi, I’m Ariela!

As a therapist specializing in helping kids, parents, teens, and young adult women, I recognize the unique challenges each group faces. The clients I often work with struggle with anxiety, depression, self-confidence, perfectionism, managing big emotions, and issues related to neurodiversity (i.e., ADHD and Autism).

My approach is rooted in compassion, empowerment, and the belief that every client has the potential to become their best self.
