Hi, I’m Dr. Ashley
As a recovering perfectionist myself, I know what it’s like to feel like you’re hustling for your worth in all aspects of life. I’ve made it my mission to help others navigate their own growth journeys by empowering them to move out of survival mode and start thriving in their own values-aligned lives. Let’s start combatting the anxiety, stress, people-pleasing, and that bully in your head telling you you’re just not good enough.
I specialize in trauma-informed, strengths-based, and creative approaches to counseling children, adolescents, and adults. My goal is to empower clients to move from surviving to thriving in every aspect of their lives – relationships, friends, family, school, or work. I believe the better we understand ourselves, the better we get at making conscious choices. Gaining insight into the “why” and “how” we operate can help us cultivate self-compassion for where we’ve been and find the courage to do things differently.
I aim to create a collaborative and supportive relationship with clients and continuously work to understand their unique perspectives, life experiences, cultures, and identities. In this way, my approach is tailored to each client, where I integrate various types of evidence-based therapies to explore emotions, build skills, and make positive changes in line with your values and goals.
Many clients who come to work with me identify as high-achieving teenage or adult women. They’re feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and burnt out and are often looking to learn different ways to manage the stress they experience from trying to balance their numerous responsibilities. I’m particularly passionate about helping these clients challenge perfectionistic tendencies, set boundaries, learn healthy coping strategies, and increase self-awareness and confidence.
I continue to be inspired by the many clients who have allowed me to be a part of their healing journeys and I applaud you for taking this first step in your own life. Please feel free to reach out via phone or email with any questions you may have about myself or the therapy process before scheduling an initial appointment.
